This is the classic Eagle on Nest covered candy dish by Westmoreland Glass one of the most beloved and sought after pieces in their catalog, introduced in the 1970s and made in Grapeville, Pennsylvania until the company closed in 1984. The lid is the eagle itself: a sculptural milk glass figure with every feather crisply rendered and warm amber glass eyes.
